Although I never did understan...YOU TELL EM GARY!!!<br />Although I never did understand why people purchase "cast" sculptures "signed" by the artist for thousands, sometimes millions, when it's not a hand work...but a copy. If the image is beautiful and feeling is evoked, then, I suppose this doesn't much matter to dead artists, who only wanted to provoke some feeling anyway.<br />In other news, museums generally suck. Literally. Eschewing away "gifts" from the public that are never, ever shown, and also, as you point out...auctioned! No one cares. Everything is a commercial enterprise.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
